On March 10th, 2014, I was invited to the Stollery Childrens Hospital in Edmonton, AB to do an interview and share my story with Alberta Primetime TV!
I had flashbacks walking the halls of that hospital. Remembering being scared, being brave and being ok with what I was given.
I had scoliosis, which is a curvature of the spine.
In the interview, I talk about having the mindset that things happen for a reason, and although I may not have known what that reason was at the moment, I stayed hopeful.
Now looking back 6 years after my major back surgery at age 13, I am extremely thankful.
I was very much into sports growing up and when I couldn't do my sports anymore, I started modelling, which introduced me to my acting coach, which landed a guitar in my hands and gave me the courage to share my voice with the world.
Now it was my time to give back to this wonderful place! I got to sing to some of the kids!
Currently, the interview is airing on Tuesday March 18th, 2014 at 6pm, 11pm and 11am Wednesday morning on Alberta Primetime, CTV2.
Also, my song I wrote called Autumn's Song is a way to give back in a big way!
Go buy it for $1 on itunes and that money will be matched and donated to the Childrens Hospital!
Thank you World Financial Group for matching everything I raise!
